If God is love, why would He condemn someone to Hell?
To really understand, you must go back to the beginning...the very beginning. When God created Adam and Eve, everything was as He designed it. They had intimate fellowship with God and a perfect environment to live in. Somewhere early in that perfect setting, sin entered the picture. From that moment on we were destined to life apart from God, for by His very nature He cannot dwell with sin. We were lost. And with Adam's sinful nature passed on down to us, that could well have been the end of the story. But it wasn't.
It was then (beginning with Genesis 3:15) that God put into action the plan of redemption. It would culminate with Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and being raised from the dead on that glorious resurrection morning. We know that none of us are perfect. We have all sinned (Romans 3:23). Yet God loves us so much that He bought us back from the grips of sin and the penalty of death. He had every right to blot us out of existence...or worse, for the Bible says, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die..." (Ezekiel 18:4). But
because of His great love for us, He chose the way of restoration rather than judgment.
Hell was not even created for people. It was created for the Devil and his cohorts (Matthew 25:41). Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil. In our sinful state, it is true, we are bound for hell. That is the cold hard fact. But the good news is that you can accept the work of Jesus on the cross, follow Him, and receive the gift of salvation and eternal life in heaven (Ephesians 2:8-9). You will spend eternity with the one you choose to follow. I encourage you to receive Christ right now!
Once you have acknowledged your need of a savior and confessed Jesus as Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10), you need not live in fear anymore. In fact, you can be totally free from fear knowing that no matter what happens in this life, you will forever be in the presence of God on the other side. As Christians (followers of
Jesus Christ), our attitude is transformed from fear to thankfulness.
Am I sure God loves you? Yes, I am sure. In fact, it is the central belief of my life. You are His creation, the work of His hands. He has invested everything into you, including His only begotten Son. "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us..." (1 John 3:16) Yes, I am sure He loves you. ctc
